Through our partnership with Mallapur Uthnau, we fund a project to install and maintain water filtration systems across villages in Malda, in rural West Bengal.

Water quality in rural West Bengal is affected by high arsenic levels. In some communities, there are high rates of chronic arsenic poisoning, leading to significant health impacts such as:

• Skin lesions
• Cancer
• Neurological damage

The Malda Arsenic Project provides and maintains filters that remove arsenic from the water supply, allowing more than 10,000 people to access safe drinking water.
