Kavi's Thames Walk 2024 - how you can get involved!

Our biggest fundraising event of the year is taking place on Sunday, September 8 – an 18.5km sponsored walk along the Thames in London from Mortlake to Vauxhall.

Please support the event either by signing up as a walker or making a donation now on our team fundraising page https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/crfthameswalk2024

It is a great chance to spend a wonderful day walking and talking with other Calcutta Rescue supporters, exploring one of the most historic stretches of the Thames Towpath, and raising money for a very special charity.

The walk will take around six hours, including a coffee stop, and lunch in Battersea Park.

The annual walk is in memory of young charity supporter Kavi Varsani who died of Covid at the start of the pandemic. In 2018 Kavi took part in our first sponsored walk along the Thames.

All the money raised will go to help the charity’s core work providing education, healthcare, employment opportunities and infrastructure in the slums of Kolkata.

To find out more or to register to take part on the day, just email Sean now on [email protected] and he will send you all the information about the event and advice on how to fundraise.

Whether you are going to join us on the day or are making a donation, thank you so much!
